This year, we held our first official applicant day for potential trainees. Applicants for a total of four apprenticeships were invited to the event.
To kick things off, the training manager addressed the applicants and gave them a brief overview of AKE-technologies.
Afterwards, the visitors were given a tour of our plant in Patriching. They were able to gain an impression of our development and design processes. In our open-plan office, concepts are developed, 3D models are created, and process plans are drawn up.
Then it was on to the assembly halls. The students were impressed by the many systems that are assembled at AKE. Our employees showed the applicants what needs to be considered during the assembly of our systems. The students were also able to observe our electricians and programmers at work.
To conclude the tour, the students visited our in-house production department. We handle the individual component manufacturing and mold making for our systems ourselves. Our employees demonstrated milling, turning, and drilling on our machines to the applicants.
After this tour, the students were divided into groups according to the departments, and the job interviews began. Meanwhile, the waiting students were looked after in the various departments, where they could ask our trainees or instructors questions or observe our employees at work. Those who wanted to could even try their hand at some small tasks.
Finally, each applicant received an AKE goody bag filled with little surprises to take home.
We are delighted that the event was such a success and that we had the opportunity to meet so many young people. We are now eagerly awaiting the start of the new training year in September, so we can support our trainees as they embark on their professional careers.
