History

The history of AKE is also the history of 35 years of successful further development. In regard to new products and new markets. What has stayed the same is our absolute focus on customer requirements and our insistence on the highest quality.

Milestones of the company development

1978

Josef Ameres founded AKE-Automation Ameres GmbH as a design office in Passau. Office area in Eigenheim, Passau Grubweg.

1982

Founding of a collaboration with a manufacturing and assembly operation in Fürstenzell. Relocation to office space available in its premises.

1986

Relocation to Passau / Innstadt and construction of the first special machine with in-house production and assembly.

1986

Ground breaking ceremony for the Passau/Patriching site.

1987

Purchase of today's Passau/Patriching site.

1994

Cooperation with TU München and start of research and development related to disruptive noise acoustics. Realization of the first AFC system using the Molykote D96 low-friction coating jointly developed with Dow Corning. This system concept still forms the foundation stone of all subsequent projects of fully-automatic low-friction coatings.

1995

Development of the USA market with the Interiors business unit.

1996

Extension of the Patriching site by a further production hall.

1990-98

Expansion of the business onto the entire European market.

2000

Eastward expansion to Romania with assembly and test engineering.

2002

Construction of packaging machines for the South American market.

2003

Introduction of the Catia 3D design and laying the foundation stone for subsequent mold construction.

2004

Investment in CNC milling machines and start of in-house mold construction.

2004

Start of joint development of the High Power Shaker HPS with the partners TU München, BMW and Klaus F. Steinberg.

2005

First system for the Chinese market/Interiors business unit.

2005

Introduction of the DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 QM system.

2008

Change of the company name to AKE-technologies GmbH.

2008

Transfer of operative business management to Boris Schneidhuber and Bernhard König.

2010

Development of the South African market/Interiors business unit.

2010

Start of partnership with the Chinese trading and service company, Shanghai Xiangzhi Development, for the sales and installation of shaker test bays.

2010

Extension of the Patriching site by a further production hall.

2011

Purchase of AKE-technologies GmbH by Boris Schneidhuber and Bernhard König.

2012

Construction of the "Disruptive noise analysis and solution center" for the Disruptive Noise Acoustics business unit.
